Paisley Freight - AVOID

On Monday I paid for two 17kg boxes to be sent 170 miles to Devon. The company I decided to use is called Paisley Freight. I booked my two items to be picked up the following day, they state it will be anytime between 8.00-18.00
I'm in all day, nobody comes. No phone call, nothing.
The Paisley Freight contact number is only manned until 16.00 so you can't get in touch with them until the next day. I called them today and made them aware how bad their service has been. They basically just blamed the agent they use, they said my address could'nt be found!!!!!!!
I explained it's just a normal house on a normal road, the house number is not only visible by the roadside, there is also a house number on my front door.
The guy said I can have a refund if I'm not happy, did'nt offer any apology etc. Awful customer service. He went on to say I could leave the two parcels in a safe place if I need to go out. What is a safe place? IMO a safe place is an area that is locked up. I said if the items go missing/get stolen what happens and he replied something along the lines of it's not my fault if you live in that sort of area!
I actually live in a nice, quiet village.
I work for a company who specialise in home delivery, a shame it's in food only. We would never leave a delivery failed without informing the call centre first and ringing the customer's contact numbers, if they are'nt in we leave a card.
I said why do you ask for my contact number when you don't bother contacting me, again he fumbled around for an answer. Shocking service, one to be avoided
