Great news. Hope Weatherseal are about to follow - don't care if they insist they are only doing survey!0

Never mind a fine, the salespeople who were intentionally harassing people who had asked to be removed and threatening to keep calling at more inconvenient times should be facing criminal charges. Harassment carries up to a 6 month jail sentence, but they should be getting an ASBO at the very least.0

I did get involved in an argument with DM design some time ago. When I told the salesgirl I was TPS registered and there was a fine for calling registered numbers, she said this was rubbish and slammed the phone down. Wonder if she is still working there?0

They get fined for £90K. What happens to that money!??
Do we, the victims, get any slice of that share for being incovenienced?

I hope these "solar panel" companies are next. I'm fed up with their calls ... "but we're only doing surveys", say they. "And anyway we're a government-sponsored organisation so we're exempt from TPS". Bullocks!0

The fine shouldn't be a fixed value, it should be 90% of an offending company's pre-tax profits, and the HMRC will audit them to make sure their declared figures are correct.0

Had my regular call from Penicuik/Weatherseal recently. Said I was TPS registered and wanted my name removed from list. Passed on to 'supervisor' (sounded like the same one I spoke to last time I asked for name to be removed).
This time there was a new take on TPS. According to him you have to renew your registration frequently or TPS remove name - 'demanded' to know when I had last renewed'.
Insinuated it was (a) my phone provider's fault for putting me on a national database and (b) it was my fault for letting TPS registration lapse.
Ended up by putting phone down. I have complained again to TPS, but since then am being bombarded by calls from Weatherseal (I don't answer, just google number), but think I am now on a hit list!!0
