Visa debit card chargeback - how long?

I recently submitted a request for a Visa chargeback to my bank, The Co-operative.

Does anyone know roughly how long I can expect to wait?

I used my Visa debit cart to buy an item online that never arrived, and I am unable to contact the company.

I wrote to my bank's disputes department to request a chargeback and am wondering how long I can expect the investigation to take, as I really need the money back.

    Why write?

    RING THEM......

    Visa regs.
For non reciept of goods. You have to allow 15 days from date of debit, before it can be chargedback.
So long as its for the full value then it can be done over the phone with no paperwork.
Refund should be on your account in a couple of days.

I rang the bank and was asked to put it all in writing to the disputes department, enclosing a copy of the email receipt, which I did two weeks ago.

The phone number for disputes appears to be a closely guarded secret.

    Which bank......

Taht is crazy. As Visa regs are very clear that non reciept can be done with no paperwork, so long as its within 120 days and you are claiming hte full amount back.

I would ring them again and chase it up to see what is going on.
