Used leather furniture insurance - or not?

We have just rejected our second leather suite from a large high street company due to poor quality (lether stitching on backs not lining up, recliner mechanism not working as it should - too many faults for the assessor to list!). We are now going to purchase an identical suite which is not new but just 6 weeks old. Is there any insurance I can purchase to cover the sofa - I know you can now warrant a second hand car and wondered if there is the same warranty available for furniture? Or should I just rely on my household insurance which I have accidental damage on should the leather get ripped or torn (my main concern).
Thanks in advance

AD would be covered by your home insurance but mechanical failure/ poor workmanship wouldnt be.
Most the after market warranty products focus on motor vehicles, gadgets or home appliances rather than sofa's. The retailer may have a warranty they can sell you, I cant think of any other company to suggest and so it'll be a case of trawling google0
