Hi, I recently swapped suppliers by following suggestions on the site and am now with OVO. Given their green credentials, I was a bit shocked to be told by them that I can't claim my FIT payments from them. I'm not sure what to do now, can anyone help?
Thanks

Take yoiur supply from OVO and enjoy the cheaper prices they charge.
Claim your FIT payments from whichever supplier you currently use

Many thanks, I didn't realise that.

Only the major companies (the Big Six) have to provide FIT's participation. OVO said that they were 'thinking' about voluntary registration back in July 2011...apparently they still are.
Whether you can leave it with the previous supplier will depend who that supplier was. If it was a company that comes under compulsory participation, you can. If not, you'll need to move it to one that does.
