Wednesday 20th March 2013 - What small DFW things will you do today ????

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Morning everyone
It's Wednesday! Hump day! Half way there!!
Quick list from me then I'm having a train nap!!!

Excuse me, but what does 'DFW things' mean?
Debt free wannabe - the name of the forum.
Doesn't have to be things that directly cut spending (a mistake I once made). Can be indirect things too. An example in my case is the 10 mile walk, which means no spending for 3 hours and no need to have heating on in my flat while out, thus saving money.0 -

Gooood morning everyone!!
It's the final countdown! Dum dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum dum! :rotfl::j Last three days in work, cannot wait to not come back here again :T
In other news....
I wrote a meal plan last night  Honest to god, a proper meal plan! DH is heading to Tesco after college to get 4 things. Planning on using up stuff in the cupboards and freezer, really need to get the freezer defrosted.
Need to do swagbucks, onepoll, check competitions and freebies.
Need to read Martin's email.
Need to call surveyor and get costs for me buying and my dad selling his house.
Carry on gutting the house with DH, we are trying to do an hour each night during the week. Need to make progress!!
Check bank, make sure I still have money left lol
That's about it for today I think!
Have a good day y'all! xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
although I had a NSD yesterday and expect the same today, I received a massive gas bill yesterday! I already pay £91 a month by direct debit and I thought it would be ok as I didn't get a bill (as in over what I paid pcm) last year but of course forgot, that winter wasn't as cold last year so have had the heating on much more this year. It's only £80 over and so owe that but it was a shock nevertheless. I can't even change provider as I live on an Island and we have 1 provider only! So, am turning heating right off now!
Other than that, making a sandwich for lunch from stores (and from bread I froze which haven't done in ages - normally just leave it sitting on the side and it goes mouldy and then thrown away) and have got chicken (from reduced section) out freezer to do a chicken and cashew nut stir fry for tea tonight (have all ingredients already) which I can then take for lunch tomorrow or have another sandwich tomorrow and have the stir fry tomorrow night.
Yay - wednesday! Almost halfway through the week and end in sight!I want to be a writer0 -
