How To Write Letters To Get Freebies!

Tips on writing letters to companies.
1. Use as many good points as possible without trying to sweet talk them into giving you freebies
2. The big companies will not take you seriously if you make spelling mistakes. Write letters in word or other software that has spell check .Even the smartest person makes spelling mistakes sometimes.
3. Use the product name often, but be careful not to over do it. Too much of one word in a letter makes it hard to read and can be boring.
4. Make sure you write personal details. No point writing a letter, and then never receiving the items because they cannot contact you.
5. Have a friend around to make sure it reads properly. A little constructive criticism can help make your letter better.
6. Do not expect too much! 7 out of 10 times you write a letter, maybe more the company will say ‘no’, or ignore the letter, or just give you a nice, thank you for the letter, we appreciate the time you took writing to us.
7. Last, but certainly not least, share your finds and company email addresses with other money savers!

Dear sir or madam/company team ect.
I am ... (a fan of your products/new to your products ect.)... And was impressed with... (Low fat/packaging/reviews) and bought one/a pack
(If you have used the products before say how you enjoyed them before, or if this was the first time, leave it at that.)
Unfortunately on this occasion I was.... (Disappointed /revolted/disgusted/upset/caused much inconvenience ....by (the standard of) your product
Then describe the problems with it.
End by saying how you think you deserve an apology and maybe a refund/ monetary compensation (money to say sorry)
Then :
Thank you for your time
Yours sincerely
Your name.
Or if you want to be snotty and make sure you get your compensation say: I shall expect my compensation/voucher/something in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks
Good way to get freebies or coupons from nice companies .yeo-valley, walkers, Cadburys and a few others do not give freebies from nice letter. Quakers and snack a jacks (same company) sometimes do.
Step 1
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am very satisfied/happy/please/enthusiastic with/about your product.
I love the healthy factor/taste/packaging/good prices. Thank you for making this product.
Step 2
Make up / recap some story about how the product cheers me up after a long day at work, how it is so useful around the house, makes life so much easier ect.
Step 3: End in a nice way, saying some thing like
Thank you again.
Yours sincerely
Your name.
Please sir, May a have stuff for free?
This is the most fun because you can make up all kinds of stuff to get more or different freebies they all follow one of two patterns.

This assumes the company has a website, you have browsed it and you have not tried their products before.
Dear sir or madam
I have heard great things about your products (not necessarily true. often not true)
Although I have not tried them for myself I am very enthusiastic about them.(search the website and look for some things you like the sound of ) when I received an email from a friend, I searched your website to see what all the fuss was about, and I was very impressed. I loved the way the products were presented on the website (often not true) and was impressed by the organic/healthy/non animal testing features of the products.
I am desperate to try your products but seeing as I have sensitive skin/am short of money/like to try all products before I decide to buy them/would like to check works with my skin tone * (again ,these do not have to be true) I was wondering if I could request some free samples of your products. If I may, please may I have some small samples of….. (E.g. conditioner /skin cream/foundation*/chocolate)
Thank you for your time and in advance for the products you may decide to send me.
Yours truly,

I am very eager to try this/these particular product/s and was therefore wondering if I could possibly be sent some free samples?
I really love your products, and as one of your biggest fans and probably biggest customers I was wondering if I could possibly be sent a few free samples or coupons for your products.
Thank you for making my day that little bit easier/sweeter/more relaxing with your …. (Enter product name here).

Party Freebies

This is an actual letter I sent to a glow stick company.
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am a huge fan of all things that glow. Recently I bought 200 glow sticks, and upon coming to this site found cheaper ones! The prices here are very good and the range is fantastic.*
the reason for writing to you is because in a week’s time, I am hosting a party for 16-20 people. The party will take place in the evening so after a meal and several activities it will be dark. I was hoping you would be able to provide me with some samples or even fully sized freebies of your products for my party. If you do decide to send me some of your fabulous products, you could also include in the pack a few leaflets with some of your more popular products and their prices, with your details, to hand out to my guests, as a way of advertising your range.
Please consider my points and reply to my email as soon as you can.
Thank you for your time and in advance, for the glowing products you might send me

I temped for a bit a few years ago on the helpline for a cleaning products company. Anyone writing in with a compliment or a minor complaint got a standard letter back with a voucher (either "Glad you like our _______, have the next bottle on us" or "Sorry our ________ didn't work for you, why not try it again".)0

I complained to Belkin over my UPS because the battery was going/gone and because PC World prints on fax paper I couldnt proof when I got it so I had tons of work to do and got PC World to say sorry we cant fine any information on your buy. So I told Belkin that I always get they products because they are so good and the service is great. They email me a post label so I send it back within 4 day Belkin sent me a UPS back but a better one over £100 (approx) more. This was back in Nov/Dec time.0
