Hi,
This is for the first time I am selling a mobile phone on ebay.I am so confused about all the fees on ebay.Trying to clarify, but failed.
If I sell my item on ebay at 150 pounds, could somebody give me an idea of how much money I would get into my account after all the fees?
I have already put my item on sale and ebay is asking for 11.50 pounds as initial fee (insertion fee, pictures, reserve price etc). After deduction of 11.50, if my mobile is sold for 150 via pay pal, how much I would get in the end?
Thanks in advance.

You can use this handy online fees calculator. Fill in all the details that it asks for and it will tell you how much the fees will be.

Your final value fee would be £4.92 calculated on the basis of:
5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57) plus 3.00% of the initial £30.00 - £99.99 (£2.10) plus 2.50% of the remaining closing balance
If you use paypal you will pay a further fee of £5.30 on the basis of:
3.4% plus £0.20 GBP
So you will be left with 150 - 11.50 - 4.92 - 5.30 = £128.28
HTH
Edit: Posts crossed. Helix posted the answer while I was calculating the fees. Cheers.Ithis site!!!

Thanks all.
I am a bit confused with 17% VAT.Does it apply to the transaction? Do I need to pay it in addition to what you are saying (I mean 128.28-17% VAT)?
Thanks in advance.0 -
No there is no extra charge for VAT, but they are pointing out that VAT is included in Paypal and Ebay fees. I think the VAT is from somewhere odd like Luxembourg.0
