Hi all,
I need some advice, I recently queued for over 5 hours outside the 02 arena to purchase beyonce tickets.
I was denied the chance to purchase, good seats at a fair price because two minutes before the tickets when on genral sale a member of the security team advise everyone queuing that ID would be required. Stating this had came directly for the promoter, which was false the O2 were the only venue to make any request.
I remained in the que but I had no photo ID on me, I thought I would discuss it further with the box office staff. I was then advised they by the box office manager it's states in their t&cs that ID is required to purchases tickets in person, which is also a lie.
I sent a nasty email to their customer service team and I have been offered two free tickets. But I just want to know my rights as a consumer, can they refuse to sale me tickets just because I had no photo ID, if this isn't stated in their own t&cs?

They can refuse you tickets for any reason they want in all honesty. You have no rights as you hadn't entered into a contract. Thats about the base of it0
