My Council Tax Bill arrived and hardly no change

My bill arrived today and my bill is only £26.12 higher than last year, spread over 10 months is just £2.61 a month :0) It could have been worse :j

Ours has gone down ... I couldn't believe it. :T:T

County Council and police has stayed the same. Borough Council down 1% and Parish Council precept down 4.9%. Overall reduction of 0.2% :)

I pay the full amount too but that's what happens when we own our properties and work. :D

What has council tax got to do with owning your own home?

All you need to know is that the person I was directing my response to understood.

It's good that some people are getting reductions but what is Parish council? I only have city council, police and crime commission and fire and rescue authority on my bill.

Do you live in a city?

Parish councils are usually in small villages. My Mum has one and she lives in a very rural area.

Mine has stayed the same thank goodness!
Thinking of phoning up an asking to pay over the 12 months, hate to put money in the councils pockets two months early!
