Question for Twitter compers

Do you use your account purely for competitions?
I gave up on Twitter last year for personal reasons but thinking of getting back into it (but just for comps). My question is- can you get in trouble for just using Twitter to enter competitions?
All advice appreciated.

I use mine purely for comps, no problems so far for me!Back to comping after a few years out! Good luck everyone :beer:0

Me too - just comps and no problems. There is no such thing as a 'private conversation' on twitter (unless you have a protected account). Why anyone would use it as a communication tool is beyond me? 140 character limit as well? Use email, google chat or text messages if you want to 'chat'.0

Another pure competition account here. 10,953 Tweets so far and no problems.MSE Comping Since August 20110

Mine is comp only too as none of my real life friends and family use itI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I use my Twitter for competitions only - when I first got it, I entered a few competitions in one afternoon and received an email telling me I was temporarily banned from Twitter for sending too many messages to people who weren't following me! Not had any problems since though0

As a follow on from this question, when it states follow and rt or rt do people literally just retweet what is typed or do they create their own message instead or in addition? How successful are people on twitter? Just wondered as I have won a Kindle Fire HD and some Mr Freeze goodies on twitter but, compared to other entry methods, I haven't really won much.September Wins : One Direction posters, Kappa Football.
Thank you to all the lovely posters & board guides :beer:0 -
I have two Twitter accounts (unlike FB, apparently it isn't against the rules. Someone on here mentioned it but I can't remember who) and one is used purely for comping. I've only won one thing on Twitter but apart from that, no problems.2019 Wins

You did well to win a kindle fire :j
I win quite a bit on twitter but small prizes.
I tend to do a 'normal' RT (just hit the retweet button) and create my own as well for good measure?
Seems that picking winners on twitter is a 'black art' akin to casting runes or reading tea leaves, no one is quite sure how it works lol.
Interesting twitter thread here
