NGN numbers being billed for receiving

Hi All

Well a tough evening having discovered that for months I have been billed for receiving unsolicited calls from NGN premium numbers by Sky.

You cannot avoid these charges as you are billed at least 50p per received call and often more just for picking up the phone and slamming it down again. Sky it seems being unable to address this issue you have to check your itemised bill every month and pressure for a refund.

Is there no way Ofcom, BT, Sky can stop this as these calls come from overseas as the caller never speaks clear English. My son also gets this on his 02 mobile as a text charge which is very expensive.

Is this not becoming a major issue if you expand this across the whole of the UK.
