Just off the phone to my bank, they said I have to contact the lender. Will be phoning them as soon as I can.
Come on chris, we're trying to help you.

The bank have told you there is nothing they can do about it, you authorised the payment so it is coming out.

These bottom feeders make a living out of grabbing money from people who have done exactly as you have done. you are not alone, EVERYONE who signs up gets ripped off.

The reason they live in mansions and drive brand new cars is because people simply can't be bothered to write a letter cancelling.

Please understand just how pointless ringing them is going to be.

Thanks for the replys guys. Phoned up an deferred payment to the 31st(making sure there was no additional charges) should give me extra time to send a letter.

Make sure your letter arrives to them within their agreed terms.

That means, 5 days from yesterday you now have 6 days to post the letter.

2 Days post is considered acceptance in most judges mind.

If you really want to make sure then post it priority and signed for.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you to request a cancellation of my loan application and the termination of our contractual agreement. As I am within my 14 days cancellation period, I am allowed to follow this route by law. Also I am not due to pay the ‘Broker fee’ until 31/03/13, I would also like this cancelled, as your services are no longer needed. Any debit of this £69.95 from my account will will result in a swift letter from my lawyer.

Please find supplied a copy of our contractual agreement.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Chris Nelson.

Don't go mentioning your " lawyer", it sounds crass. I'll take a wild punt and suggest you don't even have "a lawyer".

Leave the threats out of it, simply request your refund which has been requested in accordance with their terms and conditions, quote them if you want to pad it out a bit.

Keep it polite, simple and firm.

Take your name out of your post too, keep your action's online anonymous.

seriously? If you employ the services of a " lawyer" , you aren't the person to apply for high risk loans and go falling for broker scams.
