I have been advised just now that the above building society said there is a problem with their faster payment system now and all payments in and out are in a queue. Also they have an IT Team investigating but cannot advise when the problem will be resolved.
I made a FP today at 11am and has yet not been received.

Mine was going from Nationwide to Lloyds.
In days gone by you could trust the banks but with all the instability about it hardly feels anyone with confidence.0 -

Yes and in days gone by if you made a payment it used to take 3 to 5 working days to appear in someones account.
Its hardly the end of the world is it, being patient will go a long way than suddenly panicking for no reason.
They will fix it as soon as they can!!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Transfer made to me this morning has just gone in (from LTSB)I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Its not rude its stating a fact, if you don't like the facts then don't ask the question.
Also faster payments are allowed to be sent to the recipients account by the end of the banking day, and not always within 2 hours quoted by most financial institutions.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Worth reminding yourself that the legal requirement for "Faster Payments" is that they have to arrive at their destination by the end of the next business day. Nationwide have as yet not failed, and they still have over 24 hours from now to complete the payment.0
