Are you joking £900 a month!!!!! Where are you travelling from?Bad luck breeds bad luck.
Damn I'm doomed.0 -
My guess would be Cardiff or Exeter. It's a lot of time to spend on a train though0

Santander 123 credit card, would at least see 3% of the monthly cost back on your travel costs.
(on combined spend of up to £300 a month)1
National Rail and Transport for London travel includes Arriva Wales, East Midlands Trains, Eurostar, First Great Western, Greater Anglia, London Midland, Northern Rail, ScotRail, Southern Rail, Virgin Trains and many others
So thats £108 a year on travel alone.
Have play hereNever ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
I travel in from Tamworth, its far but only just over an hour on the train (Virgin - a good service but expensive!!) and works for me - just trying to save wherever possible at the moment!
I do earn airmiles on the credit card at the moment but if there was a way to save the £150 a month without paying any interest it would mean an extra £1800 in my back pocket over the year!
I have just looked at the Tesco and Halifax interest free credit cards but its my understanding that you have to pay off the full balance each month for it to be interest free... is that correct?? If so it wouldn't work in my instance as i need to spread the payment out over the year....0 -
That seems an awful lot. The National Rail site says it's only £500 a month.0

Tesco do 0% on purchases. I do the same as your planning although on a smaller basis. Instead of paying £94 a month I play £840 on a credit card and pay £70 a month off the card. To get 0% you just have to pay the minimum payment a month (not the whole balance). £9k is a lot though so you may need to split it on 2 cards. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. How?
Your post is dumb beyond reason - or you're just obviously not bright.
Train Travel to London can and does cost this much.0 -

You are looking at London Midland prices that don't get you into London till after 9. Scroll down for the Virgin rate....0 -

Oh right.... that was what i was hoping for but it didn't read like that!! I will try them then. Thanks for your help.0 -
Not really answering your question but wasn't sure if you knew about it as an option?
Do you know if your employer offers season ticket loans as a benefit?
Some places do them - it's a bit like an interest free loan. They give you the cost of the season ticket and you pay it back it each month - automatically from your salary.0
