Does anyone know of any good (free) software to convert mpeg files to dvd?
Thanks in advance.

It has mpg as the file extension. its one that a tv card dumps on the hard drive. I was hoping to put it on dvd in a dvd compatible format and wondered if something would convert it to a video ts file.
Thanks0 -
I always thought a DVD was an mpeg format:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Avidemux will re-encode files into a DVD compliant format, but it won't create DVDs.
When it's re-encoded a file you need to do some more work on it to create the VIDEO_TS folder.

I think that Nero Vision 4 will author a DVD and Nero Express 7 will burn it.
Perhaps someone else on the forum can advise whether that's right.
If so, it's all in one package from here:-http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/109471/rb/27761769895
It's not free though!Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
