Roxburghe phone calls start

Hi, looking for some advice I got a PCN last October for overstaying in a morrisons car park I ignored all the letters from Roxburghe and the solicitors. But today I received a phone call from a mobile to my mobile so I answered it ( I do not answer calls from withheld numbers) after them asking me to confirm my name and address they said it was Roxburghe dept collections about my PCN asking why I have not paid the fine, they also said the call was getting recorded how can it be recorded from a mobile number. All I said to them that I did not confirm that I was driving and it was a unfair parking charge and they started going on about the change in the law and I was liable as the registered owner. I then said that if they took me to small claims court that they assumed that I entered into a contract with them and if it was a free car park they have no loss. He then asked me to pay the fine and I said no I was not paying the fine and they could take me to small claims and hung up. Was this the right action I've now barred the number and all the calls will go straight to voice mail.

Yes it was , just hang up on them if they contact you again, you can ask your network provider to block that number, and on certain phones you can do it yourself.

If they had a case they would have taken you to court already, you are the 2nd person today to come here with roxburghe contacting them from an alleged incident from about 6 months ago, they were told the same. Ignore them, if court papers arrive come back here.

Why would you confirm your name & address when some random caller asks you? This is how social engineering & phishing scams work. I find it hilarious when I get called up by people claiming to be from Barclays Bank & then ask me to confirm who I am with various bits of personal information. They may very well be from Barclays as I do bank with them but they have no way of proving it. They refuse to give me information that might confirm their identity e.g. my account number because I haven't confirmed my identity so it's a Catch 22 & I refuse talk to them. You can be sure that if I divulged banking details to a scammer that Barclays would try & say that it was my fault when money left my account.

That's why I don't give a number to companies, and the ones who insist get a mobile number that never is switched on and is basically a SIM card with no mobile phone attached to it.

Did they realy call it a fine?
As for recording the call, there are plenty of mehtods to do that, if you have a smartphone there are a few call recorder apps out there that do the job.
Infact, if you can it may be worth recording the conversation, and loading it onto yourube/facebook ec etc as Morrisons customer service - how morisons treat their customers.
You should also complain to the morrisons store as well, If the complaint goes nowhere tell them that you are being harrassed by ( whoever it is) and as they are agents acting on behalf of Morrisons Morisons are responsable for their actions of their agents, and that this is nothing short of harrasment.

From the Parking Eye -v- Morrisons case, the contract they had allowed the PPC to write letters but not go to court to pursue the debt.

Now if that is a standard Morrison contract with their PPC, then you have absolutely no need to worry at all.

Lots of people get their time wasted by Roxburghe calls. Stopping them is easy! Just Google these keywords and read the results:
