My daughter (who is a student) purchased me flowers for 'Mothers Day' from Bloomin Delightful. The flowers which were sent to me direct as a surprise, were in a box that was soaked and ripped. She complained to the company who has passed the buck saying she should take it up with Royal Mail as the contents were ok??? Even thou the company contracts Royal Mail for all their deliveries! My daughter was very upset as her surprise was spoilt. The customer services of this company and their presentation leaves alot to be desired!! Don't use them!!

Your daughters contract is with Bloomin' Delightful, so she contacts them. Bloomin' Delightful have a contract with Royal Mail, so it's their problem, not your daughters. Don't let them fob her off so easily.

Were the flowers OK? If so, while the packaging of a gift maybe considered part of that gift, she's not going to get very far complaining.

On the other hand if the contents were damaged she should be pressing for a refund.

How did she pay?
With paypal she could file a claim but she would have to pay for returning the flowers. Not ideal, just an option if everything else fails.
