I am looking to buy holiday insurance for a one week european trip for myself, dh and ds at easter. If I buy annual multi trip will this cover ds for two holidays (1 europe 1 uk) he is taking with scouts ie. without mum and dad, in the summer? TIA

Most family/ group policies do allow independent travel of those covered by the annual policy but always worth checking with the provider in question particularly if you are talking about a minor0

Has anyone actually had annual family travel insurance that covers a minor for travel without parents? I tried the travel insurance search on this website and the cheapest one specifically did not cover under 16's for solo travel. I tried direct line and they quoted £106! and I didn't even check if it would cover junior to travel alone. I think i might just book insurance for our week together and do something separate for son in the summer.0
