Dell 1501 or 640M?

I am choosing via dmxdimension between the 2 above with XP Pro. Would prefer a 14" but as I've posted elsewhere am looking for a clear, matte screen. AFAIK the AMD 1501 in 14" is either n/a or daft price with the Turion 64x2 processor.

Does the 640M have a glossy or matte screen please? I assume glossy as truelife is an option?

Although there is a blurb on the 1501 customisation about truelife, hopefully that one is still matte? I cannot face another call to Hard-Sell India so wondered if anyone here knew as many of you seem to have gone the Dell route.

Can't help with the screen, but do have a look at the Dell outlet on Ebay. They sell slightly cosmetically damaged pc's at very good prices. Includes laptops and desktops, with a range of specs. Decent spec 1501's, and others, seem to top out at £400, or even less.

By standard the dell screens are matte. Only on higher spec or choice of upgrade are the screens the glossy trulife.
