Seagate external Hard drive

I accidently let my external hard dive fall and it looks like the connector to thte USB-cable socket has broken off, I have open it from its case and can't see any way of attaching it back. There is no cable connected to the USB-cable socket. The socket is - or rather was - just stuck onto the board and not very securely. Looking at a number of forums, it seems a not uncommon complaint.

Is there any way of fixing it back to the board please. :T

Why not take the drive out completely and buy a new USB enclosure to house the drive? Then you can use the drive again assuming it survived the fall.
