Not sure on rights of sectioned people - advice?

One of my friends was sectioned under the Mental Health act a few years ago. Unfortunately she suffered with post natal depression which just spiralled, and she's now in a mental health unit and not allowed out without specific supervisory care. I go and visit her when I can, but each time I go she seems to be doing abit…

Hi, nothing to add really to what has been said, but she should have a mental health SW involved who you should be able to speak to with her consent, and is her family involved? (can you contact them?) It's nice she has such a good friend. Oh yes and contact your local MIND branch for advice, or as suggested above Rethink
