Small gift ideas for mum to be

You sound in the same situation OP - what would YOU like to receive? Assume your friend would be liking something along the same lines.
To be honest, I'm awful to buy for as i don't want anything (I consider myself very lucky). All I ask for birthdays is a lush voucher, then I can treat myself in the sales (very MSE ;-)). Which is probably why I'm stumped!
I think I'm going on a trip to tk maxx to get some inspiration - they have all sorts of nice toiletries too - and see what catches my eye :-)0 -
I tend to get one of those picture frame packs with the special ink/mould to make hand and foot prints of the little one if all else fails. ( They are usually only around £10.)0

This might sound like a really odd gift, but what I would really appreciate more than anything is some home-cooked meals to freeze so I don't have to worry about dinners when bubs arrives! :rotfl:Obviously I will do some batch cooking myself, but I'd love someone else to make me something yummy too!
Either that or some nice bubble-bath - I love soaking my bump these days! Or....how about a cheap DVD? OH and I are enjoying our movie nights seen as I am usually quite tired in the evenings.
If I think of anything else I'll pop back

A couple of Lush bath bombs would go down really well with me - I've been loving my baths during my pregnancy. Or an Amazon voucher to buy a book for my Kindle - I think I'll use mine while breastfeeding as it'll be easier than holding a book or magazine (not much help if your friend doesn't have a Kindle though).0

A voucher to have toenails painted, or even book an appointment to go together.0

I second home made frozen meals!
Also randomly a bottle of olive oil, we use it for dry skin, cradle cap etc etc. as won't use johnsons stuff on baby when she is so little and skin is so sensitive. I wish someone had bought me a bottle!
Best gift we got was a small bag of medical essentials - gripe water, nasonal, calpol etc - all things that are handy but never have in the house at 3am, that gift has saved us a few times now!
also really appreciated a box of chocs from my friend! A nice change from baby clothes as I could eat them ha !0
