hi my hubby has put claim in for uniform tax he asked for the last 5 yrs which we believed you could claim that far back but recieved cheque this morning for just last yr is this right and can he claim more back

  • There will usually be a tax calculation P800 for each year of the claim and the amount is carried forward from the earlier year to the most recent year. So the P800 for 2011/12 should include the earlier years and there will only be one cheque for the full amount.

Look out for adjustment for earlier years - this will usually be the amount carried forward from the previous tax year

hi got cheque for 2011/12 for £76.84 .This morning got breakdowns on how it was paid but also got breakdown for 2008/09 £19.30 ,2009/10 £38.51 ,2010/11 £57.62plus new tac code will he get paid for these 3 other by cheque as it does not state
  • He won't get any more cheques. If you read the calculation you should find that each years refund is rolled forward and included in the next years amount, £76.84 will be the total for all four years.
