Microsoft Live points for Xobx 360 - US or UK?

Couple of questions:

1. Can Microsoft Live Points be bought from the U.S., say via Amazon, to use in the U.K.?

and

2. If so, is it worth doing so, bearing in mind the current erxchange rate?

Yes - my proof, Major Nelson's show when the Live Vision Camera came out they gived out the code for two 1600 Microsoft Points to who ever entered them in first.

And yes I would do it because your saving money, also if you want to double check call 08005871102 for XBOX support press 1 for Xbox 360 support then chose the more relating one. And ask them make sure you record them so if you do and they dont work you have proof.
