They have said that the existing voucher schemes will be closed to new entrants, but that existing members can keep their membership (or transfer to the new system).0

My eldest are 18, my youngest 11, it's hardly 'back in those days' that I and my friends and family had more than one child without the need for 'respite' care to deal with the terror of dealing with them on a daily basis.
How lovely for you.
18 years actually does make a lot of difference in terms of 'back in the days'. It's a whole generation.
I am very happy to admit that I find a toddler who doesn't sleep and a baby with colic to be hard work. I'm very happy to send my toddler to a childminder one day a week so that he can have a break from the almost constant crying and so that I can have a short break from having two children and try to regain some sanity (and some sleep). I love my children and I love spending time with them, but I'm sensible enough to admit when I need help.0 -
The change is two years and one general election away, so plenty of opportunities for changes to another budget item released before budget day.0
