Another paypal question sorry

I have just sold an item on ebay and have received an email to state that the buyer has paid and that I have received an instant payment - is this meaning a paypal payment?
I have logged into my paypal account and can not find the payment that my buyer has made to me - my account balance is showing up as nil.
If he has paid by paypal, can anyone tell me where the deposit will show on my paypal account, so that I can be sure I've received it before I post the item.

It should be listed under 'My Account' , 'Overview' or 'My Account' , 'History' . If it isn't there then they definately haven't made a paypal payment and I've no idea what other 'instant payment' may have been made. Who was the email from?0

I think that the payment has been sent to the wrong email address.
Ebay hold a hotmail address and paypal holds a free serve address.
Looks as though the paypal payment has gone to the hotmail address (entirely my fault and no one elses)
What can I do to sort this out - I have tried to change my email address with paypal but it won't let me as it says that it is already in use (I must have 2 accounts somewhere along the line, don't know how or why)
Can the buyer pay me again or is it something that I need to sort out with paypal?
I'm confused!

Have sorted it out - needed to make both email addresses the same for both accounts.
I'll get there in the end.
