    Mortgage is £72k on a CC£80k house.

Will be paying £8k deposit with gift from mother. Not sure the CC is lol. Typing on phone. AIP was for £80k so is less then that.

Should also say I've had credit report from both Experian and Equifax. With look ok with ALL accounts showing settled or satisfactory.

The Halifax affordability calculator indicates an output of £76,320 over 25 years. This is assuming you are the only applicant and you have no-one dependent on you.

Presumably, if the application was submitted last week, the case passed the credit score and the valuer has been instructed?

If I had a client who was concerned about their application, I'd be contacting them regularly to tell them what was happening and emailing them the different documents that are produced at the different stages.

It wouldn't be the first time I've sat a client next to me and showed them the Halifax online case tracking system so they can see what's happening.

TBH it's pathetic you don't know the status of your application three working days after it was submitted.

Searches don't appear instantly. They can take a while to appear on your credit file.

Sorry can i ask, was this search a soft search? If so I had one done last week and it appeared on my experian report the following day as a mortgage quotation.

The original soft one for AIP was showing as Unreported Search. There are Mortgage Quotation searches from the day I applied. Found out are lunch time survey booked for Friday. Hope that is a good sign.

I got a letter today saying i've been declined. I called mortgage adviser who said he was buying time yesterday but thinks I'm unmortgageable. I called estate agent and she thanked me for wasting her *ahem* time. Feel so ill. Luckily I had the day off work but only just able to post as before now it was jibberish.
