Spring dropped off Parker Knoll Recliner

Options
Hi All

DH found a spring underneath his recliner - its not that big with a hook at each end. We can get a replacement OK but..... can't seem to see where the blighter has come from!
The recliner is quite old & has the lever to recline. We think the spring is used to tension the scissor action of the frame but can't see where it came from - we also think there's probably one missing as there's not another one there :(

Is there a question here or is it just a statement?

OOops - sorry - I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas where the springs should hook underneath on the framework
