The charges only take effect from 14th April, I've been meaning to move mine out of my ISA
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I have no idea if HL will take any action but as yet they have said nothing I am aware of

I seem to recall that it was possible to avoid the charge entirely if you go to Aberdeen direct and use monthly contributions rather than lump sum, but don't quote me on that, it's been a month or so since I read it

Interesting quote in City AM this morning

The group also hinted that measures put in place to slow down flows into its red hot emerging market equity funds had led to a “considerable reduction” in flows.

Good spot Coldiron. And a prime example of how difficult it is to predict anything in this game. Soon they'll offer a discount as funds dwindle :)

I still might jump in while eating the chocolate eggs as it seems not to like Indonesia or Malaysia, my top two single country funds. But for sure I wouldn't pay a 2% levy.

Be interesting to see if the fund value is lower in a few months when things settle down.
