I qualify as a 'prime' customer under all the accounts.
How do you know you qualify as a prime customer under all these account? How do you even know what banks consider to be prime customers?Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Can never know for sure, but given the ridiculous amount of adverts and 'my special offers' I get through (which are generally targeted!) I'd imagine so.
Nationwide for instance:
Hold a FlexAccount with a Visa debit card (not cash card or cash card+) and:
Have been paying in £750+ a month (excluding internal transfers) for the last 3 months;
[or complete a switch, or hold Flexplus (paid) or FlexDirect - where they want you to pay in 1k]
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/creditcard/select-credit-card/offer-deals.htm
and from knowing people working or that have worked at other banks...
It's pretty standard thing across the board that £750 - 1k a month is considered to be good. Maybe throw a few direct debits and standing orders in there and can't be far off...
N&P ask for £500+ or charge a fee.
First Direct are (were) known for wanting more than most banks paid in, but other than that I'd say 1k a month in and you'll be looking pretty good to most banks. Number of days cleared funds (and the average balance) etc will make a difference, so I tend to shuffle it round a bit.
Until I maxed my Nationwide overdraft out, I'd say I certainly qualified as prime, and that was purely on a student income - so must be doing something right!0 -
So Ive got my santander account for wages, I then have my halifax ultimate account for the benefits (I did a switcher to them last year n got the £100 incentive) and then pay £10/ month for phone insurance etc.
I have a HSBC account for my mortg, life insurance and home insurance, I have a seperate Hsbc account for paypal and I also have a joint account with my o.h but tbh we hardly use the joint account.
My santander transfers 1k into halifax which then transfers it to my hsbc for mortgage and then transfer remaining back to my santander for me to spend!
My oh gets paid into his Santander he just recently opened a halifax account for the incentive and then we transfers 1k into halifax and then back to joint and then back to santander...
May seem like a faff around but i wouldnt have it ANY OTHER WAY!!
CAN NEVER IMAGINE IT ALL IN 1 ACCOUNT!0 -
I have 4 current accounts and 2 savings accounts.
Main account is my Barclays Cash Card account - wages go in, bills go out of.
Spends account is RBS Select although my internet goes out of there because for some reason Barclays didnt like the DDI leave just enough for my bills in Barclays and transfer the rest into this account.
Third account is Halifax EasyCash - this is in my 'work name' so any tax rebates go in there, and my compo cheque went in there as it came through my union so in my work name. However my salary is paid into an account in a different name to my work name (confusing muchlies)
I have a Co-Op Cashminder but Im not sure if I've ever actually used it and I certainly dont know the pin number
I have a savings account with the Co-Op and I've just opened a savings account with RBS.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
