Why is it i always end up paying more money out to these utility companys than i intended to? I went on comparison site found a company that was going to save me between £700 to £800 a year :T so i thought. Then i recived my change over date which is 20th March but a long with that they had but an extra £40 a mounth onto my mounthly direct debit with no explanation and they also taking two payments of £175 one on the 18th and another on the 20th March. When i questoned them about taking money for something i was still paying my old supplier for they say its so am in credit,so i have to pay my new company £340 plus my old company £254.71,so thats my wages gone for this mounth. When is some one going to step in and stop these utility companys from doing what they like.:(

Probably becuase you are not using the comparison sites correctly £800 a year saving? Do you really think that was correct?
If so, reducing consumption would save you a lot more!
I suggest you use the telephone support line next time0 -

Are you using the price comparison sites with annual usage based on actual readings in KWH or estimated usage in £££? The former is far more accurate.
The fact that you had a large catch up bill from your old supplier suggests you are not reading your meters as often as you should be, and perhaps used estimates for comparison.
You say no explanation, they can't just randomly debit money from your account. Did you read the terms and conditions of the contract you signed up to?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
