I don't think anyone goes on strike except as a last resort but of course a person such as yourself would have little sympathy with that judging by your posting history.

Actually no. I found the whole strike saga a pain in the bum, so I elected not to strike and went to work as normal. And any way many pubic sector professions have codes against striking, nursing for example.

And for the exchantingly amusing person who thinks public sector workers ought to be sacked left right and centre, well I'm sure you'll enjoy the challenge of finding private bin collection, private fire fighting and private policing. I hear the competition in that sector is rife :p

Good for you. Shame thousands of teachers chose to ignore the education of their pupils over their personal desires.

If they didn't like it, they should leave and get a job in the private sector if they are that valuable. Same with doctors.

I am sure that if they did turn to the private sector many would be probably be paid more.

Is your concern over teachers striking more because you are inconvenienced by their actions rather than the loss of one days education?

Nope. I hate commie unionist strikers of all flavours equally.

Have a look at private sector education salaries. They make public sector look positively majesterial.

Start paying for doctors like we pay for dentists and then see how reasonable it seems.

Probably because private sector teachers, in part, don't need to be qualified maybe. I have a couple of friends who work in the private sector and are happier with their lot.
