Having just read this thread from the start, I think I need to put everyone right on a few things........
1. Stanley Park gets locked up at dusk, so no late night picnincs by the playground.....
2. Currently there is no Wetherspoons in the centre of Blackpool - there is one on Lytham Road, South Shore, behind the Promenade
3. There appear to be more lap-dancing clubs than DFW posters!
4. There isn't a lot of prom down the Golden Mile at the minute, as it's all being rebuilt with EU money (and is starting to look very nice indeed)
5. The biggest mirror-ball in Eurpoe (maybe even the world) lives on South Promenade
6. For those who arrive on Friday 14th, the 3rd round of the World Firework Championship is on
7. Freddie Starr, Cannon & Ball AND Joe Longthorne are all on that weekend
8. Sorry - even though I live in Blackpool, I can't make the meet, I have a date with the 1st Lytham Beer Festival that weekend!
