Online ordering problem

This probably seems really trivial but it is bugging me. I recently ordered some knitting wool from an online retailer, the order only came to £26.69, but i so wished i had searched for feedback before ordering.

I placed the order on 20 February 2013 and the money was take from my account on that date (Mastercard via paypal). Since then i have heard nothing. I have checked my online account with this company and apparently it is on 'back order' which i take it means it wasn't in stock when i ordered. The only reason i did order from them was because the website indicated it was in stock!

I have emailed them and i have rung their number and left several voicemail messages however they do not reply to anything. This appears to be common according to the feedback i have now read (Doh!).

How long do i have to leave this before i can take the matter further, and what can i do about it when they won't reply to anything? The time has past for the wool now i bought some more from a reputable dealer as i wanted it for a birthday present, my own fault for leaving it late to order i suppose however the website indicated it was in stock. Any advice gratefully received! i have never ever had such shoddy treatment by an online retailer.

You could open a dispute in paypal now.

I would definitely advise to open it within the next week or so as I believe paypal has a 45 day limit for claims.

There are other ways you could deal with it, but this is by far the easiest.

Thank you I hadn't even thought about it from a PayPal angle!
