Electric bill is just so high!! (Around £400 per month)

Current items:

1 Desktop Computer
3 TVs (Which are hardly ever on)
1 Washing machine
1 Dryer
1 Dish washer
House filled with energy saving light bulbs
Electric shower (Only on in the morning...)

Yet our electric bill has came to £400 for last month :mad:

Is that bill a estimate or based on actual readings? How many kWh are you using over a month?

I assume in that £400 bill there is no debt from previous times

£400 is extremely high do you heat your home with electric?

I used just over £50 per month 461kWh last month 25/01 to 24/02 and its usually around that every month and I am with British Gas too

Those appliances wouldn't normally use that amount in a month

Agree estimated or actual bills, how many KWH have you used? Have you double and triple checked the readings?

Most of those items won't use much it's heating, hot water/ power showers, laundry at high temperatures and tumble dryers that are energy guzzlers.

How is the property heated and hot watered? That is what uses the power, not your TV or PC.
