When you enter what is a credit agreement with a CC company the EXPECT you to know what you are doing. C1 send you an easy-to-understand booklet explaining their charges - I know, because I've got one.
If so, could you explain the late payment fees, please?

Customer misunderstanding what the statement says?

Let's face it, we're talking about someone who deliberately went over their limit, then wrote:
Accepting as i say i knowingly went over my limit i question
    a) WHY they allowed it

I bet OP was relieved they "allowed it" at the time, but obviously isn't happy now the charges have kicked it.

Last time I saw an over limit credit card statement it said pay x by y, but pay z immediately to bring account within limit. That was a long time ago. Maybe ten years or so.
