The quick answer is don't bother.
Facebook, along with a lot of other stuff, is blocked by the Chinese so the chances are your sister in law won't be able to use it.
There are ways the technically savvy can access FB in China but as fast as people find a way the authorities try and block it again.
I'm afraid the Chinese don't have the freedom we have when it comes to internet. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Even if you stay entirely within the UK, there is no such thing as privacy on Facebook.
You could start communicating via email with some form of encryption, but that's probably more likely to attract the attention of the Chinese authorities than if you just sent your family photos or whatever in the clear.0 -
Yes, make a room and have it as secret, don't know about blocking in China though, or skype, sends pics via thatBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

That's no good either the Chinese made Skype illegal in 2010.
The Chinese do not like people accessing or talking to the outside world. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
IMO it's a great pity that the UK authorities don't block it here.

Wouldn't it be easier to just use email? So long as you don't discuss any sensitive political issues or freedoms, your sister-in-law probably won't be arrested. ;-)0
