I hope someone can help, I'm wanting to buy a SSD drive for my MaBook Pro.
I have decided on the Crucial M4 256GB.
Now I'm confused as to what all the different variations of this are can someone advise?

Note that the M4 has a number of problems in the latest firmware, and also lots of problems in most of the older firmwares. Be sure to update it to this specific version, even if it comes with a higher version from the factory
