Are white goods covered in a Snagging List?

We moved into a new build in Dec 2011. The builder is still working on a number of cosmetic snagging items but we have 2 years cover for snagging.
The bearings in the washing machine have now failed and the manufacturers extended warranty does not cover the cost of the repair.
Would the washing machine be covered under the snagging list?
The washing machine was purchased as part of the new build and we had no choice what make/model to choose.
We are also trying to get the manufacturer to pay for part or all of the replacement costs as the unit is only 14 months old.

My white goods are covered by the builder for 2 years.0

Zanussi confirmed that there warranty for white goods in new build properties is 2 yrs. Zanussi have now authorised the repair work.0
