Credit Report searches - What counts and what doesn't?

So if someone defaults on a credit arrangement today and the lender does not register the default until next January then that person suffers the effects of the default for 6 years 10 months?
Is that right, as that is how I am understanding it.
No the lender actually suffered as they didn't get their money!! As for dates on defaults no matter what the date is when it hits your credit files that's when the six years will start.
Many people get away from NOT paying thousands & thousands of pounds back I certainty wouldn't say 6 years is suffering.0 -

....not searches relating to obtaining credit report or insurance quotations. ....Space out applications, not just for credit but for car insurance, mobile phones and others, as all can leave searches on your file.0

Actually NO the lender did not suffer in this case as it was all charges!!! £35 for something that costs them pennies.
It must be so nice to be so righteous to never make any mistakes Bugsy and to spend your life giving people grief when you don't know the circumstances............
Something you excell in!!:(0 -

How I act on here is not how I act in everyday life, try not to take my posts to seriously because if you do you'll only work yourself up...
I'm probably the most hated poster on MSE to new and regular posters but believe many regular posters know me by now and don't get involved and wind themselves up as at the end of the day just because I might sound harsh deep down I don't mean to pi*s anyone off As I just say what I feel at the time.0 -

Really, in my experience you seem to take criticism a little personally....0 -

Yes agree but you'll have to just ignore it as at the end of the day we all just usernames on a forum not mates and for all I know you could be a 75 year old weirdo sitting on your sofa with Ben 10 pajamas on.
Like I say most of my posts are more putting my point across not personally attacking anyone and those who don't like my posts generally just ignore them.0 -
