I'm off on holiday for 8 days in may for my birthday :j Nowhere too exciting, just the seaside with my family!
Anwyay, I've had days where I don't enter any comps and the next day it takes me forever to catch up on 2 days worth.
So I'm thinking 8 days of no comping is going to take me so long to catch up....I might take my laptop away with me.
Only problem is there is no Wi-Fi where we are staying so I'm going to have to look into getting a dongle.
So who comps while they are away?
And can anyone recommend a decent dongle?

I don't use a dongle, but have a T-Mobile WiFi E586 wireless portable router on PAYG. It works out at a pound a day for 7 days. or £2 per day.
I do a bit of comping when on holiday..mostly checking all the emails,
but tend to just catch up with the bigger comps on return home.0

Don't comp but do check for WEMs regularly as I would hate to miss any wins.0

I went on holiday at the end of last year. I'm an end day comper, so about a week before i was due to go on holiday, i made sure i had the days i was away covered so i could enjoy my holiday without thinking about comping 0 0

I spend most of the summer in Greece and still comp (and sometimes win too ) )
I have used a dongle which I bought there as it was cheaper than one from UK (on advice of very nice chap in PC World)
However I am very lucky as my lovely Greek next door neighbour allows me to use her wifi :j0

No I do not comp when on holiday - I enjoy my holiday time with husband and family and make the most of not being at work - I don't even take my mobile with me if going out of UK.
When going away I make sure I am up to date with ones ending when away and enter as many as possible from board before I go.
I love being on holiday and then getting home to check email and post to see if any wins 0 0

            I'm sad :rotfl:
My laptop has been to Turkey twice, yes I enjoy the holiday, pool all day or daytrips etc, meals out in evening and a few bevvies but am a terrible sleeper, so once back in room and everyone settled & asleep, I could be spotted on the balcony comping for a few hours, until I was ready to nod off. Hotel had free Wi-Fi in lobby, but as we had room close by it worked there too if I was on balcony.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I never go with the intention of comping but whilst I was in Japan and suffering from jet lag I decided I may as well make the most of the free wi-fi in the hotel and enter some comps Also ended up comping when in Holland during 'free' time as again there was free wi-fi. I've never paid for internet just to comp though and would never prioritise comping over my holiday! If you miss a week or two worth of comps it's not the end of the world Also ended up comping when in Holland during 'free' time as again there was free wi-fi. I do always check my emails though just in case there's a WEM that needs answering! Has only happened once in 5 years though!2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
 2013: £134.960

If I go on holiday, I usually go through all the days I'm away and enter all the big comps and don't worry about the book/dvd etc comps. Then other than checking for wems I like to have a break from them.Good things come to those who comp 0 0

When I was away for the weekend I took my laptop and did the magazine dailies; it only took me about 45 minutes each day. I loved that the hotel had free wi-fi!
If I was away somewhere lovely and more exotic (I wish!) then I wouldn't take my laptop :cool:0
