Hiya,
I have some dark brown (wenge) Argos bedroom furniture, I can't yet afford to buy a whole new set (I ideally want to get better quality next time).
im moving house and the furniture is just too dark for the new room, can I paint it white? I want a matt effect not glossy.
I've seen this liquid sander, is it any good? http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=447122
I've read that cream cleaner is as effective as the above product.
Do I need to sand it first? Or can I just paint straight over?

Hi
I've never done it myself but I hear that Annie Sloan pain is very good for painting over any type of furniture. A good clean down first is all that needs to be done. I'd advise you have a look at the Shabby Chic thread, as there's loads of good stuff done using this paint there:

Best of luckI got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0
