Not as daft as it sounds but can a DD be set up to pay someone else's credit card ie not from a joint account but from an account belonging to the partner?

I would have thought so as you can set up a DD to pay the monthly balance on your Credit Card, but if in doubt ask! That is the best way to clarify the question, they won't bite and better from the horses mouth!

I wonder if you meant standing order rather than DD if you are talking about transferring money?

I meant changing the payment by DD of a credit card currently coming from a joint account instead to a sole account where the bank account is not in the credit card holder's name.
