ING are moving up to 5.00% on the standard savings account and holding on Web Saver after last weeks sneeky cut.

Shame on ING! No other word is worth for them.
Who is still on ING should move ASAP!0 -
Oh yippee for ING glad I moved all my money, they really are the pits. It also looks like they have finished the websaver accounts no mention at all !"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I can imagine the ING Direct PR department sending out a self-congratulatory letter to savers highlighting the fact they've increased their rate by 0.25% in line with the BoE rise (nevermind the fact similar internet accounts are offering rates which are 1% higher)0

Northern Rock are paying 5.71 gross so I have signed up with them. It is easy to use too and they respond to messages quickly. I am using ING but only for their ISA paying 6.55% for 6 months.0

IMHO ING really have lost the plot, on the one hand they are advertising on TV for new customers yet they treat their savers with contempt, I shall be really happy when I get my cash out of their hands!:mad:0

ING direct actually INCREASING an interest rate???
Am i actually seeing things or not?
Even so there are loads of accounts that pay more than ING direct these days.Had £80,000 in Savings - All GONE!!! BYE BYE:A Single, 27, Aspie, Gooner :A0 -
Well, they're increasing the one that missed the last 3 rises after reducing the one which they hoped would pull back the people who left when the other one missed the 3 rises and the 6 month bonus ones didn't quite work...
phew, now apparently "brand new customers only" can get a £20 bribe - one great rate for all... LOL.0 -

What you say is true even though it sounds made up! I wonder which jobs agency ING gets it's employees from cos I reckon it is owned by another bank!

What's taking you so long? ING have been dire for nearly two years now. You should have been out of there ages ago. Unless you have only opened an account with them recently in which case you should never have done so in the first place.IMHO ING really have lost the plot, on the one hand they are advertising on TV for new customers yet they treat their savers with contempt, I shall be really happy when I get my cash out of their hands!:mad:0
