Tesco

I ordered a laptop in September from Tesco. It stopped working after a week, so I complained and got sent a new one. This left me with the original laptop, as well as a new one. I was contacted by Tesco around one month later and arranged for it to be picked up. They never came and haven't contacted me since. What should I do with the laptop? Can they still claim it back from me?

Many thanks. :j

Do you want a broken one??

Ask them to collect it - adding that if they don't you will assume they don't want it and you will claim it.
  • In theory they have 6 years.

Why not just contact them again by letter (recorded so you have proof)?

I'd be asking for all costs for your time etc to be covered.
  • Tesco are known for discovering errors like this several months later - easier to contact them now than wait and see. By the time you can be sure it is yours, it will be useless anyway.

It's broken anyway, so perhaps its only use is currently as a door stop.

OP, do the right thing. You've only paid for one laptop and that is all you have a right to.
