Electrical Cables

Hi,

I recently had a light moved in my extension as it is a flat roof it could not be run across the ceiling as you would normally so they have been run across the joists. Is it ok just to plaster over the cables. I am not sure if they need protecting in any way to stop anyone drilling into them by accident.

Thanks for your help.

Unless you bought the cables with a credit card and have some sort of issue with that, you're posting this in the wrong place.

A joist?, Isn't that some kind of burning candle that gives off some kind of pungent fragrance?. My brother used to burn those things in his bedroom, we could smell it coming from under the door, .. my mum would bang on the door and shout at him "Colin, .. what are you doing in there"??!!, but he wouldn't answer. I would steer clear of using Joists, they are harmful. My brother later became hooked on Marijuana, ..we are almost certain this was down to him burning joists in his bedroom. He lives in Milton Keynes now with a man called Pete.

Lucky Pete but he won't have much of a house left if your brother keeps smoking his joists . . .
