NDR Money and Very!

Hi Guys
I am glad that NDR was helpful to someone, they were beyond useless for me unless I dished out threats. Anyway they eventually passed mine over to CapQuest (who I know get slated on here) but they have been downright lovely, accepted my payment without hassle and no issues since (errr famous last words!)
Hope they sort it out for you Chelly!

If they've been charging interest all this time despite having received an Income & Expenditure form and expressing your problems and asking for assistance then you could consider putting in an official complaint?
You might get the charges reimbursed or they might just reject it in which case you could chance your arm with the FOS?
I'm not saying it would work but it's worth a shot, nothing ventured nothing gained as they say...

I'm just about to start a DMP and Very and Littlewoods I owe about £4.5K. Never missed a payment but I finally pulled my head out of the sand and admitted that I just cannot keep robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I'm really worried about contacting Very and Littlewoods. Not good on the phone as I am very anxious at the moment.
What is the worst thing that can happen if I don't pay them and do I have to contact them or just let the DMP people do it. Even they said it would be a battle with the catalogues.
I've even had a few silly thoughts this evening. Totally stressed.LBM 2 June 20140 -

I would write to them, tell them you are dealing with a debt charity (I presume) and tell them they will be in touch.
They are supposed to give you 30 days when you tell them you are in contact with a debt charity.
Don't talk to them on the phone. They tell you stuff they would never put in writing.
Do your creditors have your phone number?:beer:0 -
I'm going through Step Change and offering a fair amount. They do have my number unfortunately. I just want to know what the worst case scenario would be?LBM 2 June 20140

Are they accounts taken out before or after April 2007. The very and littlewoods ones?
Absolutely worst case Is they take you to court and get a CCJ set at a rate you can afford and they can't slap on stupid charges.
They can ignore requests to stop charges and interest (if charged) and make your debt go up, depending what you pay.
They could be reasonable.
Hard to say.
If they see you are paying what you can, through stepchange, not much point in taking you to court.
You sometimes need to complain repeatedly to these idiots to see sense or sell you account to a DCA. A good thing usually as they are the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with.
Don't stress, stepchange will be good and you can always get help on here.
Good luck.

Thank you. Littlewoods are pre 2007 and Very are 2011.
I have never missed a single payment. If they don't agree on a debt of say £4,000 what can they slap on when I finish my DMP in 6 years time, will it be something hideously out of control. Usually I'm such a bubbly person but tonight I'm worried about dark thoughts over these poxy catalogue companies. They lifted my credit limit recently and I emailed them to reduce it.LBM 2 June 20140 -
Hi Fuzz,
When I spoke to Very they were... Not great LOL
But as I mentioned on the DMP Support thread SC have their own contacts so I wouldn't worry anyway
That said, I'm glad I called and spoke to them because I survived it and it was the worst call I've had in relation to setting up and maintaining my DMP!
My advice is call them, let the abuse roll off your back, stick with telling them my spiel about SC DMP and they'll be in touch, etc and end the call smiling and say thanks and be proud of your war wound
I know it sounds scary but once it's done, there is nothing more to worry about and if they happen to call you (which I'm 1000% sure they won't) you'll be more confident when speaking to them

Pre April 2007 catalogue credit agreements are usually dodgy to (in my case) non existant. This means the chance of getting a CCJ are close to zero.
Nothing required now, as you don't want to upset the apple cart. Just keep this in mind, as if they keep putting on charges, you can send them a CCA request and if they can't provide the proper one (they tried to fob me off with a current one) then they are stuffed from a court perspective.:beer:0 -
MBs advice is sound. I would follow up any call with a signed for letter. Call records can conveniently go missing.:beer:0
