Just to update & let you know that I managed to negotiate & get my default off my file, my husbands one is 5 years old & they have agreed to mark it as satisfied. Santander have initially said the btl is self financing so they are happy not to take it into consideration but cant offset the equity. They do offer 90% based on repayment affordability. Maybe its just for existing customers?
The initial conversations sound promising but I am waiting to get the confirmation of my updated credit file before I sit down & apply. Wish me luck
