I love marmaris, we go to the grand pasa, it will be our third time there this july. We have booked for the first time our flights accomadition and transfer seperately as packages are getting far too expensive. Try looking at travel republic as their prices are live so you know what you are paying.
  • thanks so much for both your replies, i have read bad reviews about travel republic have you ever used them? also do you know what the weathe ris generally like in marmaris at the end of may?

We have used travel republic for the first time this year and have had no problem, we also know people who have used them. Don't think it's that warm in may, depends what you want but think the swimming pools will be cold
  • We stayed at Hotel Su, although I think this might be outside of the area you mentioned, but we enjoyed our break and got a good deal
  • thanks for you help! i will look into travel republic, so sunabthing in may is a no?

Don't be put off if the price seems expensive, just keep looking because they do go up and down all the while. Also you will need to take out travel insurance straight the way.
You will need to print out the flight, accomodation and trasfer seperately as you will be booking components not a package. Also check out jet 2

I often go to Turkey in the last week of May (Bank Holiday week) and the weather is great. If it's price that worries you, they often go down again after the Bank Holiday before rising again for school summer holidays.

If you have a choice and no school aged children, I'd go mid June or September.

Any particular reason why you chose Marmaris?

Although I do it myself, just wanted to point out that you don't have the same protection with booking separately as you do with booking a package from an ABTA company.

Also, have you thought of all inclusive? That's getting more popular in Turkey now although in some ways you can miss out on getting the 'feel' of the country. I suppose it depends on what you want to get from a holiday.
